The title, the verse, the quote. Seems pretty self-explanatory, yet it is the very thing that stumbles us all. Or at-least has at some point. Every individual from biblical times to the current state of the world has experienced this. It is the very foundation Satan uses. It’s probably because it has worked most successfully on mankind since the beginning. From the very beginning, it is written that once that forbidden fruit was consumed their eyes were open. For shame and fear entered into them. What enticed them was the presentation of that fruit. It is what entices mankind today. That which is enticed is that inner voice that says you are here for you. You are here to accomplish the dreams of your heart. You are here to increase and live the life of comfort that you so clearly deserve for self or family or need.
That enemy has done quite a job to present the mandatory comprehension of tending to self for self-gain and/or need. So much so it has created a gospel that claims Christ as the one whom it follows. Yet when you truly read the word of God in spirit, you are made aware that this is not from God The Father. This is rather from that same deceiver that was there in the garden.
We read of the temptations that Christ endured and yet we never associate those exact things to what we all are enticed by. If Satan would use those things to entice Christ you would think those that follow Christ would be on the alert against those very things. Yet Satan knows we operate in ignorance of truth. He waited until the 40th day to present himself to Christ. This appears to mean he knew to attack the flesh at its weakest. So how many times have we been attacked at our weakest? Most of us are always at our weakest so he attacks daily without resistance. Once he has convinced us that our way of thinking is okay or right or justified, he knows the job is done.
The purpose of this piece is to speak to the strongest deception mankind has endured since the beginning. The deception that you are here for you. You are here for God. Your life is not your own if you claim Christ. To the world this is foolishness. That in itself should let us all know that it is a word not of this world. It is the very gospel of Christ though. To deny oneself and all the glory the evil one wishes to present during our short stay here on earth.
Now if we examine this logic we will find that the world and the secular Christianity movement both agree with each other. The model and structure they follow is clearly the same. Increase is the goal. The business and the ministry desire the same thing. Finances are needed and the more the merrier. This also aligns them together. Entertainment to keep the members engaged in the product is a primary focus that aligns both also. So its clear they are friends of the world and we should know what God calls friends of the world. You make yourself an enemy of God by doing such a thing. How do you know if you are a friend of the world? Well how do you know if you are anyone’s friend? Don’t over complicate what is simple. Let the Holy Spirit bring to each person the clarity to examine oneself. So what is it that we are missing? What gospel do we want?
What Christ is our preference? Is it the Christ that was tortured and executed? Or the Christ that helped Peter have a grand fishing trip?! Do we desire the Christ that said think nothing of what you will eat or drink, or what you will wear? Or maybe we desire the Christ that turned water into wine.
See this truth determines what our motives for following him are. This truth is what causes Christ to say I never knew you. Or what causes him to say I know you in front of The Father. When he says that anyone that denies him in-front of men will be denied in-front of The Father. He is speaking to if you denied yourself while you were here on earth. SO to destroy the logic of some preachers claiming its Gods will that they have extravagant lifestyles and possessions understand the son of man didn’t have a place to lay his head. Are you suggesting God desired this for him but earthly increase for you in man-made possessions?? Is he not the same God today, yesterday and forever? Why deceive yourself because of fear? Is life not more than those things??! Obviously there is a reason to guard yourself against them.
There must be something there he wishes for us to trust him in when it comes to those things. Maybe just maybe its because they are the very things Satan uses to corrupt us. Seems simple. Get you to think about yourself and your desires. But if you think about it. Its perfectly designed by the enemy. The enemy from within. The ME GOD. That is the enemy. Cant put Christ first with yourself in the focus. Once we deny ourselves then we will find our desires pure to God as our desires will not have an ounce of me in it. We will recognize who we truly are and who Christ came to restore us to. Then the understanding that this life is not our own will make since in the Holy Spirit.
I won’t expound on this further but hear this. The only way to bind Satan’s power in our lives is by the truth. Whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven as stated by Christ. Truth is not always easy to hear. It’s not always in alignment with what is comfortable. Until the life on earth is viewed truly through the Holy Spirit all the necessities of this life will be presented as such, rather than what they truly are. And they are deceptions. Rationalized deceptions presented as beautiful, and mandatory for the basic comfort of life. We will chase those things. Dream of those things. Speak of those things and live in this deception that what is forbidden is but a fruit that is required to exist here.
Life is fading for us all. Enough of the time used to discredit Yeshua or find cracks in his gospel. Who else came and spoke of life eternally? You search the scriptures as if they speak of eternal life he said in his time to those that we’re familiar with scripture!! What do we believe God the Father truly wants for us? We all shall die here on this planet! So if he is the living God, wouldn’t he want his son to speak of life with him?! Of course, he would. As again its clear our end here is in death. Blessed is the one that finds life while in this flesh that has this bitter end promised to it.
This is not milk but rather a meat for the true follower of Christ.
